Hello, I’m Logan from Roofnest. Today I’ll be walking you through our first fold-out style hard shell tent, the Condor.
With two sizes to choose from, the Condor is perfect for two people, and the Condor XL will comfortably fit up to four adults. The Condor is one of our more compact tents when closed. If roof space is a concern for you or if you have a smaller vehicle, this is going to be the perfect fit.
Like all Roofnest tents, the shell is molded from a dual layer ASA and ABS to provide weather protection and UV resistance. The Condor comes in two colors, we have of course our rugged black. It also comes in white.
We’ve got two different types of closing attachments here. We have our straps and our ratchets. The straps are great for really pulling it down and tightening it, where the ratchets are really great for keeping your tent safe and secure.
So opening the tent is a really simple and easy process. You just have to undo your latches, undo your straps on both sides of the tent. And then you’re going to push the upper shell up and the gas struts inside are really going to make this a breeze.
Pops right up, then you’re going to take your ladder here and you’re going to pull it out like so: fold it up and over, and out.
When shortening the ladder, make sure only the upper rungs are collapsed and the lower rungs are fully extended. Make sure that your ladder is placed securely on the ground, it’s going to act as an additional support for your tent. Our tent wall material is waterproof, durable, and keeps you warm at night.
Putting your awning up is extremely easy. You can find your awning polls here inside the tent. All you have to do is slide it into the slot here like so, pin it up and connect it to the rings on the tent material and just like that, your awning’s ready.
The rain fly can be easily rolled up and rolled down to provide more air flow and better views when sleeping inside. At the front of the tent we’ve got two LED lights to help you get in at night. We also provide you with a shoe bag and a gear bag which inserts like so.
Now let’s take a look at the interior of the Condor. Now that we’re inside, you can get an idea of how much room this tent really has to offer. I mean the head room is unbelievable, you have so much room to move around.
Underneath me is our six centimeter mattress that is inside of our machine washable cover. Over here, what we’re looking at is a stainless steel gas strut. This pushes your tent up in a matter of seconds and is going to be sturdy in even the windiest of conditions.
The Condor comes with an interior LED lighting strip. It along with two exterior LED lighting strips connect to any power bank to give great visibility at night.
One of my favorite parts about the Condor is the views that you get. Not only have we included three windows here that provide a panoramic view of your surroundings, we’ve actually included a skylight here that’s great for viewing the stars at night.
Now all of our windows come with both zippable bug mesh and tent material that helps with the insulation. Closing the tent is just about as easy as opening it.
The first thing you need to do is to make sure that all of your awning poles are out and are stored inside the tent. The next thing you got to do is take your ladder up and over like so, letting it down slowly. You then have to collapse your ladder, which are used with the buttons here.
You then have a bungee that you need to grab. The bungee helps to store the tent material on the inside of the tent and you bring it around like so. There’s a little loop that you can hook it on.
Next you’re going to need to be able to grab the strap, which is up above and pull your tent down to about here. You can then begin tucking the material in like so. Pull it down, hook both the strap and the ratchets on.
The strap is great for really cinching down the Roofnest. And do the same for the other side. And just like that, you’re headed to the next camp spot.
And that’s the Roofnest Condor and Condor XL. To find out more information, you can check out our website or join our Facebook group called the flock. It’s a great community resource for owners and anyone interested in Roofnest.
