My tent arrived sooner than expected, and though the box had damage, my Condor Overland didn't have even one scratch. I have only two concerns. First given the cost of this tent, the attachment brackets are tacky at best. I have ordered Wheel Every Weekend brackets to correct this. Second, the fold-out section does not lay flat. I'm told by other owners on the ROOFNEST Flock Facebook page that wil...
I was in the market for a hardshell rooftop tent and I chose roofnest because of their amazing customer service. They were so helpful in answering all of my questions before I purchased. Responses were within minutes and I cannot thank them enough.
So far I'm loving this tent. I was amazed how light the tent is and quiet on the rack. It was an easy install and shipping was fast. Two weeks till the first outing and it can't come quick enough. Prost!
At 75 it was gettin' more difficult for me to throw down my tent and sleep in the dirt so I bought a Falcon and hung it on my 4Runner. A few glitches were handled well and quickly by customer service. Powder coated hardware would be an improvement visually and the closing latches could be improved to be more arthritis friendly. Very comfortable and very pleased with Roofnest.
We've had our Sparrow Eye for a couple of years and slept in it a couple of hundred nights. It's built well - we've had no problems. And I sleep better in the Roofnest than I do at home. When I was deciding on which model to get, I got in touch with the Roofnest crew (who are incredibly responsive!) and told them I was looking for convenience. (Let's face it folks, that's one of the big sellin...
Roofnest offer so many options, I was a little overwhelmed at first. But as I worked through the specifications and thought about my own individual needs, I realize that the designers really thought through every detail ranging from what type of person(s) will be using the tent, what additional gear will you be taking with you and addressing varied environmental challenges of where you'll be campi...
You truly get what you pay for. The price on RTTs is hard to swallow. We shopped around and looked at cheaper tents, but kept coming back to Roofnest. They truly stand behind their product, and after owning one, we do too. We always hear other RTT owners complain about condensation issues or not staying warm. Our only complaint is we usually oversleep when camping because it's so cozy inside.
I have been used several other tents. Best tent I ever come across. quality you cannot beat.
After a month long trial trip to Idaho in 2018 I took a 3 month trip to the Yukon and NorthWest Territories with my Sparrow Roofnest mounted on my 2007 Subaru Forester in 2019. The Sparrow was my sanctuary and never let me down whether I was at a Pilot Truck Stop or in the boonies in the Yukon. I set it up and took it down in pouring rain (British Columbia is green after all) as well as had strong...
There are primarily two reasons why I went with a Falcon over my initial inclination to go with a Sparrow. One is the extreme rugged durability with a solid metal case. The other is that it's very tall at its peak so if you want to sit up or get dressed there's a lot of height in that one area. It's roomy in some ways but it's also tight at the front point where it's narrowest. The other advantage...
I bought the Condor because it's usually just me and my Beagle using it. This tent is amazing and made of high quality material. It's definitely a conversation starter. My high point of owning this tent has been the customer service. When I installed the tent on my Outback for the first time, I found a crack in one of the corners. No evidence of such crack on the box. I worked with Hunter through ...
The Condor Overland definitely needs two person install. Not that easy of a lift, so you will likely be keeping the tent on the vehicle for long periods. I have Elevate Truck Bed Rack. The Mounting screws were too short and I had to go to hardware stroe to get long enough screws to mount. Other than that, it was pretty easy install. Once on rack easy to move around. There is a learning curve with ...
We drove from Las Vegas to Iowa and had a blast. We took the non-traditional route and visited all the national parks possible. Little wind noise on the highway on a Jeep JKU and it was a very comfortable at night. Recommended this to everyone who asked what was on my car lol
I joined in NOV 2019, first let's say delivery was quick and the sales & service department was great! I purchased the Eagle unit , which was flawless in quality. The Eagle black model matches my Honda Passport color and makes my vehicle look very cool! As far as value I believe it's mid range from all the roof top companies. Personally I'm having all New Experiences with Overlanding and h...
I didn't want to send a review until I tested the tent a lot. The tent is amazing. High quality and very comfortable. I'm 6'2” and have plenty of space to move around, change etc. It does get a little tight with foot room. My 5 star review is not only for the product but for the outstanding customer service. These guys care about their customers. Answer any and all questions with fast respo...
Our Sparrow XL just arrived on schedule in in excellent shape. It is now mounted securely on our 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid -- it looks great and rides perfectly. My wife and I (both in our 70's) are planning our "shakedown camp out" and we are eager to use our new Roofnest. P.S. The neighbor kids are just as excited as we are.
We have been using a Falcon XL for a little over a year from sea level to about 7500'. From The Sierra to the Pacific Ocean with Deserts in between. The worst weather was a very windy night in Death Valley with 60mph gusts that rocked the whole vehicle. Tent didn't collapse but we were concerned being rocked back and forth. We chose it for its size and construction which has now proven itself. I'm...
Overall this is a superb tent. I went from an iKamper to the Flacon Pro as I preferred the sleek look and aluminum exterior. It's quick to deploy and has held up in some pretty wild winds. Over the past 9 months, I've spent about 30 nights in the tent. The one complaint is the hardware provided by Roofnest. After having the tent for one rainy season in the PNW, all mounting hardware on the ten...
We used our new Condor Roofnest for a fantastic trip from Seattle to LA including a week of remote camping in Death Valley and a week in the backyard of a friend's home in Pasadena. The Roofnest worked well in wind, rain and lots of sunshine, and the LED lights we good for reading in the evening. Major Caution: Subaru cross-bars do NOT reliably support a roof tent. Count on buying after market...
Just returned from a ten-day, 2000 mile road trip for a music camp and festival in Colorado. Our Roofnest Adventure XL exceeded our expectations. It kept us high and dry, something most of our fellow campers could not say.
Amazing tent! I have the Condor and it's a great size, when it's hot, you can feel the breeze and when it's cool/cold you can stay nice and warm inside. Durable construction. Have put it to good use and it's going strong! Easy to open and easy to close. Everything about this tent is great! Looking forward to giving this one to one of my family members so I can get another Roofnest.
Stayed my first night in the FalconPro last night. Even with my neighbors blasting music to 3AM, I still slept really well and comfortably. The mattress is really soft and the blackout shades are amazing. Get 3 or 4 people for the install if you're not using a hoist and if you are under 6' I would recommend buying a grab handle to attach to the included lift handle. The package opens up pretty tal...
The Roofnest is so great. Sets up in a matter of minutes. Storing the bedding inside is fantastic as well. We ordered and a few days later it arrived. Everyone we have worked with at Roofnest has been great. Ross answered all of our questions regarding roof racks so we could put it on our FJ Cruiser. Great company!!! Highly recommended.
Got it fast, very roomy, very easy to set up and take down
My wife and I, both 71 years old, just completed our first trip with our new Sparrow XL mounted atop our Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. We love the tent! The Sparrow XL is well-constructed, easy to set up and take down, very comfortable for sleeping in temperatures from 30 to 50 degrees at night, and very quiet on the road even at freeway speeds. (BTW: The Roofnest down quilt is terrific in cooler temper...
I want to give a shout out to Stephanie and the entire Customer Service Department. I had an unusual request regarding my first order and I asked them for their help. Instead of just saying "no," they suggested I put it in writing and let the team consider my proposal. Within a very short period of time, they resolved my issue even though it was no fault of their own. Their actions proved to me th...
I spent a very long time considering if and what roof top tent would be best for me. I found Roofnest and was first drawn in by the competitive prices then by their amazingly cool an innovative products. I ultimately pulled the trigger after asking them a 1000 questions. The roofnest team was very helpful and enthusiastic. Thier support and communication was just as awesome after the sale. Now I h...
It’s a nice tent but very difficult to install if you are short. My husband and I tried to install it and I wasn’t capable. We had to find someone to help. It’s best suited to tall and strong people.
100 % Excited for our overland tent to arrive!!! The product looks like the key to opening our door to more time together, to adventures, and to exploring!! Excited to be more connect by disconnecting from the day to day grind with a super cool place to lay my head!!
Just back from my first weekend away in the falcon so time for a review. First off, I was very impressed with the level of customer service when responding to my initial questions (I had a lot) and then throughout the buying process, keeping me up to date with when I could expect my tent to ship. Install: great, very well packaged, shipping was fast. Install was very straightforward. I was i...
After looking into multiple brands I decided to go with Roofnest and the Falcon Pro and I can say that I'm 100% glad I did. I had a couple of difficulties with the tent material from the get go but the level of customer service that Roofnest has shown sets them apart from the competition. They were able to quickly get the issue resolved and get me back in the outdoors.
First RTT. Purchased after about 2 years of looking for the right one and the condor overland delivered in a major way. Spacious, easy to set up / take down and above average comfort.
You truly get what you pay for. The price on RTTs is hard to swallow. We shopped around and looked at cheaper tents, but kept coming back to Roofnest. A Roofnest Sparrow has been a blessing to our adventure rig. There's no more setting up tents, blowing up sleeping pads, or sleeping on the cold ground (with the animals:)). We now pop it and climb up in under 60 seconds, making set up a breeze. The mattress is super cozy and the shell allows us to store pillows and blankets inside of the nest. Sunrise hike missions, rock climbing at the crag, or ...

We've taken this out 6 times since March and love how warm it keeps on cold nights and how ventilated it is opened up in the desert heat. It also held up well through a rough windstorm on the central coast. If I could do it all over, I may have opted for the Sparrow Eye only because of the 30lb weight difference. I know the Falcon 2 has a lot of upgrades, but it pushes the 160lb limit on my Thule ...
Fantastic tent. Extremely comfortable & does great down to 40 degrees

Love it . Best investment I have made. Very comfortable, fast to set up . Grand kids love it
I mounted the Falcon XL on a Gobi Stealth rack on a '21 Rubi JLU and it is the the rig of my dreams. The instructions were so so and it took four of us to get the tent on top of such a tall rig but I have no more road noise than I did without the tent, and that's with the bars and a yakima ski rack with four pairs of skis on top. In the cold (like 10 degrees F), the gas-powered shocks are a little...
From the second, I started looking into the Roofnest Falcon to the time it arrived in my driveway, and in turn to the top of my vehicle, the Roofnest team has been there to help and at world-class speeds. Mine is of exceptional build quality with excellent materials. It is smaller than it looks, lm 5’11” and l cant extend fully on my knees. I use the full length of the tent a med pillow will butt against the tent front wall. It is difficult to get out of to pee. I cant kneel and pee into a pee bottle very well. Think A large empty mixed nuts jar cause l cant extend. The unit is strong. This y...

i fell in love with how low profile it was. Thats exactly what i want in a roof top tent
Arrived perfectly and we spent 3 weeks camping across Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana last summer in a Sparrow on top of my Forester.

We've had our Sparrow Eye on our 1993 Land Cruiser for a year now. We had to let the dogs sleep in the car (Rita is a rescued Treeing Walker Coon Hound and Guster is a German Wire haired Pointer). We haven't used it in a couple months and we've had all this wind and rain so I was concerned about it. I opened it up and it is dry as a bone. Now we have the new Condor XL and guess who gets to sleep w...
I just spent 3 weeks staying in my Falcon Pro in night temps 35-55*f and stayed plenty warm with blankets, handles great in wind with next to NO flapping. From Coast to Desert the new design is wonderful compared to the regular RTT design. Easy to set up, no rods to insert. Plenty of headroom sitting up, foot room which was my reason for buying this set up. The larger windows and skylight are grea...
due to covid it took 5months for tent to delivered to victoria australia ,but it has been well worth the wait, tent is really good quality and very comfortable.roofnest were good to deal with despite delay.

After thoroughly researching several different brands of RTTs online, I finally opted for the RoofNest Sparrow Adventure. The box and pallet on the first shipment arrived very damaged. No fault of RoofNest, it had just been so roughly handled during shipment. I immediately called RoofNest customer support. I was advised to refuse delivery, I worked with Shipping Department to begin the process o...
I have had many RTT, this is the best build quality I have seen of any of my tents. I had the sparrow before this which is not made to the same attention to detail and quality for the exterior. This would be a 10/10 if you could keep your sleeping bags and small pillows in the tent. I need a mix of the quality of this tent but the convenience of the sparrow. 80% of the total setup in rolling up my...
We have had a Sparrow Eye for about 1.5 years and absolutely love it. My wife and I sleep comfortably with our 45 pound dog. The setup takes less than 30 seconds and we are ready to pull out from our campsite in less than 3 minutes in the morning. We are very happy with our purchase and would do it all over again.
We love our tent! We've dedicated our roofnest ladder for the dogs (got a rubber dog ladder for their access) and we us a telescoping ladder for our access. This was the best option out of all of the roofnest tents and it gives our dogs the freedom to move around without always needing assistance. Each time we camp we get new ideas to improve our experience, we've added a portable fan to help with...
I recerched a lot of roof top tents for four months and picked the Falcon XL. My wife and I talked about getting a camper but I didn't want to be tied down with a hauling a trailer, so I started looking into roof top tents. I was out west once before and saw them around which is where I got the idea. I don't think us east coasters have grasp this great camping alternative yet, you don't see them a...
Good Afternoon Tim- You and your team have done a great job throughout the purchase process of the Roofnest. Your team promptly sent me additional poles that were missing from our shipment and provided shipping updates as the original order was being processed. We took the Roofnest out for a week long trip across Florida and it performed well beyond our expectations. We experienced wind, rain, ...
I set out on a 1 month adventure across the US and this tent performed extremely well in all weather types. Great wind flow on hot nights in MOAB and sufficient mounting spots for 2 fans. Also did well in the rain and cold nights in Colorado. Additionally it took the beating from branches on the trails. I also have the awning and it offered great protection from heavy rains. Make sure you bring ...
The falcon clambshell design is the thinnest and sets up in less than a minute. Trick is to tug in sides as you close it. Great construction. Innovated design with side and bottom channels for accessories leaves many options for set ups.
I purchased the Falcon XL to fit on our Ford Transit van (medium roof). We have tested it out all summer on some fun road trips. The fit is perfect and the hard shell is awesome! Initially, we had some trouble closing the tent and I had to stand on top of the tent in order to close the clamps on the side. This caused a little bit of a concern for me as this may result in additional wear and tear (...
First off, I have to say - I LOVE MY ROOFNEST!!! The Sparrow Advendture XL is a great quality product, I had a RTT before (Tepui Hybox, recalled) and I have to say your quality supersedes the Tepui. Locking latches self lock, everything is the way you want it. Lots of little details are not overlooked (rechargeable lights inside, extra strut). The dimension were perfect to fit it on my Sprinter 1...
Arrived perfectly and we spent 3 weeks camping across Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana last summer in a Sparrow on top of my Forester.
Falcon XL is a fantastic roof tent, well-built and super comfy mattress (better than my bed). I'm very happy with this purchase and the convenient of just park my jeep in any nice spot and open and close it in a minute. My small dog loves this tent.
Me my lady and pup are really enjoying our falcon XL. Very glad we got the larger width for having the dog along, he's a total bedhog! Fit and finish are top notch. We mounted ours on the Prinsu cab/ cap racks that we bought separately. If your on fence about one of these tents because of the price tag I can assure you, just DO IT. You can't take that hard earned money to the grave with you. Buy i...

I just got back from my first trip with the falcon and I love it! The quality is on point for sure. I love the ease of set and breakdown. If I had to pick a down side it would be the side windows. I wish they rolled up vs down and wish they were awning for the side. Buy this tent, you'll love it!
We've been living the Overland Life full-time for the past several weeks in the Sparrow and we love it! With it mounted on top of our 2016 Jeep Renegade we're able to sleep in the most remote of places! The sunrises, the landscape views, and the starry nights have been incredible. See for yourself @nate.goes.nomadic
The Condor Overland is an excellent and very durable roof top tent. I recently spend a week in the Mojave Desert with every high winds, absolutely no problem. My tent came on time, but in a week I had rust begin to appear on the extension arms. I live in Southern California and this year we have had a abundance of rain. I sent a note through the roofnest website email and received a reply very qui...
I've had and seen other brand tents out there and not very many can come close to compare. Beside being a little spent I easily spent this amount on crappy tents and Replacemt parts for other tents I've had. Bar none ease of use set up and design awesome.
Bought my sparrow several years ago. From week long stays in the Tetons to weekend dashes to the Dunes in Southern Colorado, our Roofnest makes camping efficient, convenient, and comfortable. The whole organization has been extremely supportive and helpful throughout the years. If I wasn't still so happy with my original sparrow, I'd be looking at a new one. Worth every penny.
Just got my Roofnest Falcon. Some friends came over and helped me get it up on top of my 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. In a short period time, I had the hardware in place and popped up the RTT. Excellent instructions and great quality made instillation easy. Service is great and delivery went well. Many great ideas went into this RTT. Materials look to be long lasting. Price was a selling point , too....
I used my Falcon for the first time in the Nevada desert. We camped in a secluded valley that developed high 30-40 mph winds that came through all night. I woke up a few times. But the tent held up. My buddies smittybuilt took a beating and he had to sleep in his truck. Loving the low profile design. It really blends seamlessly with my 2007 Dodge Ram. I did not even drop any highway MPG with m...
I love this RoofNest. It's been with me since early 2021 sitting pretty on my 4Runner. I noticed recently some small hairline cracks on the top shell of the tent. Not the biggest issue, but still concerning nonetheless. Didn't realize I had a 2 year warranty, so I decided to just try and reach out to see if they could help me out. Hunter from their support team was amazing. They offered to send m...

This is a great tent. The aluminum shell keeps it safe while out in the field. The material is strong and keeps the wind out. Not much else I can say, other than I really enjoy it.
I just spent 3 nights in my mew Falcon XL, and I am way more than satisfied! It is SO large inside, and it is super comfy, and the dark material keeps the morning light out so I slept until 8:30'ish; normally up at 6:30! The first and second time I closed it by myself, I was NOT quoting scripture! Just take your time and it is super easy. I love all the extras included, very nice touch! I would ha...
Grabbed this unit to mount transverse inside my Chevy Colorado truck bed. It is partially shielded from wind by the bed, and proved to be stout as heck in my Oregon Green mountain area camping. All three evenings were subject to 40mph wind storms, hail, driving rain and glorious lighting. Nary a drip, and surprisingly QUIET material. There was some SMALL rubbing sounds but know where near my o...
Just finished installing my new Falcon on a Subaru Outback, and offer here a couple installation suggestions. 1) It is easier to lift and position the tent with 3 or even 4 people, rather than two. 2) Take the advice offered by Roofnest and install the rubber layer on top of your rack crossbars. You need the clearance to get to the mounting bolts. Order the rubber bands well in advance as it may t...
Such a great product. Well built, well thought out, very sturdy. Our particular roofnest has a seal that doesn’t fit correctly but it’s pretty minor. The ladder is a little tricky but with more use I’m sure we’ll get the hang of it. It’s incredibly comfortable, dark inside and easy to set up and tear down. We’re so excited to get out there and use it more and more.
In Spring of 2021 I began planning a six week road trip, determined to make use of pandemic space in our lives. My hubby was less than willing to be camping for that length of time and was objecting vehemently to the project. I hadnâ't intended to purchase a roof tent although I was aware they existed but I was browsing free-camping site and saw photos of rooftops and had to investigate because...
I have been using our Falcon XL for about 2 months and love it. I recommended Roofnest to our son and they bought a Sparrow XL but this last weekend proved to be the best test. We had HEAVY rain and wind for 2 days near Easton washington, and we were dry, no leaks and held up perfectly in the wind.
I was an early Roofnest customer and purchased an original Roofnest Eagle RTT in early 2017. I received the Roofnest as described and quickly put it to use. After the first use the upper shell developed some hairline cracks on the fiberglass. I was disappointed and contacted Roofnest about the issue. Tim was quick to respond and together we brainstormed some ideas with Tim giving the bottom line "...
