Q: What generation are you?
A: Millenial
Q: Where do you live?
A: Southern California
Q: What do you drive? Year, make, and model, please.
A: Subaru Forester, 2018
Q: Which model of Roofnest do you have?
A: Condor XL
Q: Tell us about your vehicle. Do you have any awnings or accessories? Does your vehicle have a name?
A: No, but I would love to add an awning!
Q: Travel Mishaps — Has any crazy stuff happened?
A: Packing the car keys in the roofnest 😄
Q: What are the top challenges you face, and how did you overcome them?
A: Safety as a solo female - being aware, informing loved ones of my plans, using a clip to make it harder to open zippers from the outside, and carrying a knife.
Q: Do you have some wisdom from your solo travels that you'd like to share?
A: Loads! I think as a solo female it's difficult to not feel vulnerable sometimes, but when an amazing travel experience happens to you, it just feels right! Nothing beats that feeling that you can do anything on your own.
Q: Where are you going to explore next? Do you have a dream camping trip?
A: My dream camping trip would be to Banff National Park in Canada. The next trip will actually be to Badlands, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and a few places in Utah and Colorado.
Q: Where are your favorite places to explore? What makes those spots special to you?
A: I love dispersed camping, and some of my favorite spots are in Arizona. It's just a diverse state in terms of ecosystems you get the best of everything there.
Q: What drew you to solo traveling to begin with?
A: The feeling of completely relying on yourself and being successful at it! I also love spending time alone because I can learn a lot about myself.
Q: Do you have any favorite pieces of gear you'd never be caught without? Why?
A: My tent, of course! And I would also say my camp stove, my car fridge, and my nature guidebooks.
