Tents typically take 5-13 days from purchase to delivery. For Alaska and Hawaii, allow approximately 10-21 business days for delivery to the terminal. Accessories shipped via UPS Ground usually take 5-10 business days for standard delivery, and 7-14 business days for Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping times may be affected by carrier delays.
Setup on most of our tents can typically be done in 1 minute or less. Take down can take a minute or two longer, mainly because you'll have to check around the sides to make sure no tent material is getting caught.
The Meadowlark tent can take a bit longer simply because you have to remove the tent cover first.
Our largest tent, the Condor 2 XXL Air, can sleep up to 4 adults comfortably! All of our other models will typically sleep 2-3 people quite comfortably.
Yes! All of our tents are fully waterproof and seam-taped to keep the elements at bay. The tent bodies use a poly-cotton canvas fabric with a 2000mm waterproof coating and the rainfly's have an even higher 3000mm waterproof coating.
All of our tents can absolutely be used in all four seasons. Our Falcon and Condor tents have optional insulation kits available to add additional comfort. They each also have two HVAC ports which you can use with a portable diesel heater or similar.
Almost always, yes. Though there are some key things to take into account.
1. You need a rack system installed on your vehicle that is rated to carry at least the weight of the tent you purchase. Ex: Your tent weighs 145lbs, you'll need a rack system that is also rated to carry at least 145lbs.
2. Different tents require different spacing for the rack system. The Meadowlark requires a minimum of 24" between the front crossbar and the rear crossbar measured from center to center. The Condor 2/Condor Overland 2 requires 28" and all other tents require at least 30".

On a traditional rack system, the install and removal process is quite simple, but it can take some time. We recommend you plan 45min - 1 hr the first time you do it, though it will often take less time even than that.
This video goes through the basic install process for our tents. While some of our bracket shapes will differ, they all function exactly the same way.

If you have a Platform rack such as a Prinsu or FrontRunner, installation can be trickier since access to the mounting hardware is more difficult. For these systems we often recommend looking more specialized tent brackets such as those made by Prinsu, VanUltra, or FrontRunner.
- Before storing your tent, make sure the tent is 100% dry. Storing your Roofnest with any moisture inside can lead to mold and mildew growth. Opening your tent after your trip to air out and then wiping the tent down on the inside and outside will help.
- Remove and wash the sheets as needed. You may want to consider storing your mattress outside the tent, especially if you live in a humid climate.
- Your Roofnest can be stored on its side indoors, just make sure to avoid placing the tent on the latches. We recommend something under the tent like thick cardboard or a moving blanket.
- Storing a tent on your vehicle year-round is fine but you will want to open your tent regularly to make sure moisture does not accumulate, as the Roofnest is not air-tight and freeze-thaw cycles can allow moisture to get inside your tent when itβs closed.Β
- We recommend a cover to protect the exterior of your tent from harsh elements.
