The Falcon Pro takes everything we learned from making the industry's leading overland tent (the Falcon) and supercharges it for adventure, comfort, and convenience. The Falcon Pro opens like a clamshell but with a twist of our innovative "U-bar" system the tent expands to create more space, bigger windows, more weather protection, and even a skylight. The stamped, 6-series aluminum hard top is impervious to mother nature and provides room to store bedding inside the tent while still keeping the tent only 8" tall when closed.

The double accessory channel system in the bottom shell allows installation of anything attachable via M8 bolts which can be slotted into each channel (up to 75 lbs per side of the tent). Our versatile Falcon Pro crossbar system is included with every tent and allows the same M8 hardware to be slotted into the 6 channels in each crossbar (2 on top and bottom and 1 on front and back) so you can mount anything and everything (up to 150 lbs with the tent closed and 75 lbs with the tent open).

There are two USB-powered LED strips on the inside of the tent, a Gear Grid with six pockets including one clear one for movie viewing, eight additional pockets near the front door, and a 2.5 inch true memory foam mattress which is a dream to sleep on.

Stamped Aluminum Shell

The Falcon Pro is made from a Stamped, 6-series aluminum shell on top and a ruggedized aluminum bottom sheet. The sides and corners are all aluminum with two Accessory channels on the bottom shell and one on the top. The accessory channels allow for easy mounting of all your favorite accessories using common M8 hardware. Every Roofnest roof top tent is rated to support up to 650 lbs.

Wall Material

The wall material is a 320g polyurethane-coated polyester and cotton blend with a waterproof rating of 3000mm (for comparison a typical waterproof rating on a backpacking tent is 1000mm). The fabric we use is much thicker and tougher than a typical backpacking tent — more like a heavy-duty wall tent. The material provides additional warmth and is quieter during a wind storm due to its weight.

Doors and Windows

The Falcon Pro has two very large side doors which have mesh and canvas doors with the mesh on the outside. The back of the tent has a single rectangular door with mesh and canvas. All doors can be rolled up at the bottom of the tent and secured with toggles and grommets. There are two vents in the top sides of the tent for air flow and to decrease condensation.

Ladder

All Falcon Pros are shipped with a sturdy and lightweight 8.5′ telescoping ladder with slanted steps for comfort. The ladder is collapsible and can be attached to the edge of the Roofnest for additional safety if desired.

Built-in Mattress

Every Falcon Pro comes with a built-in, custom-shaped 2.5 inch true memory foam mattress. This isn’t your typical foam mattress. It’s so comfortable, it feels like a real bed. Say goodbye to a poor night’s sleep while camping, and say hello to getting in a good snooze with a Roofnest.

Awesome Customer Service

I highly recommend Roofnest… My Falcon 2 XL was damaged when it originally arrived. This occurred during the shipping process and was no fault of Roofnests. While I was incredibly disappointed, I have to admit, I ended up having one of the best customer service experiences of my life. They were responsive, quick to ship out a replacement tent, shipped me straps to assist with sending the damaged tent back, and were friendly as could be. I’m from the south and that goes a long way with me. They also made things right with me in regards to the delay and my own time spent dealing with it. The tent itself is great! Lots of room, easy to install, quality materials, and literally sets up in 30 seconds. I did a lot of research before making my decision. I’d happily make the same decision again. Go with Roofnest, in the end you won’t be disappointed.

Top Notch Tent - Accessories, not so much

Overall this is a superb tent. I went from an iKamper to the Flacon Pro as I preferred the sleek look and aluminum exterior. It's quick to deploy and has held up in some pretty wild winds. Over the past 9 months, I've spent about 30 nights in the tent. The one complaint is the hardware provided by Roofnest. After having the tent for one rainy season in the PNW, all mounting hardware on the tent and the Roofnest Wing are showing signs of rust. Will be soon replacing with stainless. Also, the rod used to stabilize the U-bar seems not well thought out. The design of the ends don't match either connecting point, too small for the U-bar and too big for the other end. With that, the tent is still 5 stars in my book. Looking forward to many more adventures with the Flacon Pro. Join the flock!

First RTT - Super happy with it!

We’ve taken this out 6 times since March and love how warm it keeps on cold nights and how ventilated it is opened up in the desert heat. It also held up well through a rough windstorm on the central coast. If I could do it all over, I may have opted for the Sparrow Eye only because of the 30lb weight difference. I know the Falcon 2 has a lot of upgrades, but it pushes the 160lb limit on my Thule crossbars and I’m not strong enough to help my husband lift it on and off the roof. I also wish there was a cover available for this model to keep it clean on long, buggy drives!

Not all tents are created equal!

I did extensive research before purchasing this brand. There are many tents out there and all claim the same. I started looking at the materials used, and it was very clear there was no comparison. This tent is what I call a tank, something that can last a long time and do it's job when it's time to protect you from the elements. The mattress is made out of real memory foam, which are not created equal as well, you can tell by waking up fresh, or back pain. Feel free to ruin your future trips by buying aftermarkets, the inevitable future embarrassment is and will be all yours, when you wake up next to your girl, in your own personal kiddie pool..

Falcon pro worth every penny

I just spent 3 weeks staying in my Falcon Pro in night temps 35-55*f and stayed plenty warm with blankets, handles great in wind with next to NO flapping. From Coast to Desert the new design is wonderful compared to the regular RTT design. Easy to set up, no rods to insert. Plenty of headroom sitting up, foot room which was my reason for buying this set up. The larger windows and skylight are great for ventilation. The ceiling where the outer plastic used on skylight and support bar seems to be condensation magnets. I use an air mattress thicker than the OG mattress and still have plenty of room that my feet never touch the ceiling apex. Being 35lbs. Lighter than my first tent made my truck happier as well as being able to store the bedding and ladder in the tent when closed is a bonus.. Only improvements needed are the zippers are hard to operate around the tighter turns and would like the OG Falcon ceiling insulation material and the OG Falcon aluminum roof rack feet. Last of all the bottom clamping mounts provide no security from anyone with an Allen wrench even with a lock installed.. All in all very pleased over-all.

Make Falcon Pro bigger

We have been using a Falcon XL for a little over a year from sea level to about 7500'. From The Sierra to the Pacific Ocean with Deserts in between. The worst weather was a very windy night in Death Valley with 60mph gusts that rocked the whole vehicle. Tent didn't collapse but we were concerned being rocked back and forth. We chose it for its size and construction which has now proven itself. I'm 6'2" and it fits me perfect. Taller people would be comfortable at an angle perhaps. My only concession when purchasing was the inability to store bedding. This adds a bit to set-up and teardown time and is a consideration when overlanding. Camping is no big deal. Hence, they now have the Falcon Pro but unfortunately its smallish. I couldn't imagine giving up 6+" all the way around. I would think of upgrading if I could keep my dimensions. Storing sleep gear is a huge deal but, alas, not at the expense of sleeping space. I would move to a Falcon Pro tomorrow if I could retain my floorplan. *88" x 60" is perfect and makes getting dressed really easy. Make me a Pro XL pretty please!

Roofnest Falcon

At 75 it was gettin’ more difficult for me to throw down my tent and sleep in the dirt so I bought a Falcon and hung it on my 4Runner. A few glitches were handled well and quickly by customer service. Powder coated hardware would be an improvement visually and the closing latches could be improved to be more arthritis friendly. Very comfortable and very pleased with Roofnest.

Best customer service

After looking into multiple brands I decided to go with Roofnest and the Falcon Pro and I can say that I’m 100% glad I did. I had a couple of difficulties with the tent material from the get go but the level of customer service that Roofnest has shown sets them apart from the competition. They were able to quickly get the issue resolved and get me back in the outdoors.

Super Easy Camping

I just spent 3 nights in my mew Falcon XL, and I am way more than satisfied! It is SO large inside, and it is super comfy, and the dark material keeps the morning light out so I slept until 8:30’ish; normally up at 6:30! The first and second time I closed it by myself, I was NOT quoting scripture! Just take your time and it is super easy. I love all the extras included, very nice touch! I would have been on a solo trip for a month, however my fell and broke her hip, I had to return home immediately! Here to more wonderful nights!

Rock solid in wind and superior build quality but missing one thing....

I have had many RTT, this is the best build quality I have seen of any of my tents. I had the sparrow before this which is not made to the same attention to detail and quality for the exterior. This would be a 10/10 if you could keep your sleeping bags and small pillows in the tent. I need a mix of the quality of this tent but the convenience of the sparrow. 80% of the total setup in rolling up my sleeping bag and playing Janga in my Jeep to organize in store it before we get to the next spot. The tents only keep getting better but will be upgrading if one comes out with the metal quality and can store bedding.
