The Meadowlark 2 XL has the largest interior space for the smallest closed footprint of any tent in our line. It is a great fit on any vehicle due to its compact size and light weight.
Yes it is! Simply unclip the tent cover, extend the ladder, and pull the tent open. Once you lock in the attached tension bar and extend the U-bar over the door, you're done! Setup takes about 1 minute.

In almost all cases, yes!
All of our tents attach to the roof via standard crossbars (or platform racks), so as long as you have a good set with an adequate weight rating, you will be ready to camp. Tent selection depends on your specific vehicle, preferences, and needs. In general, XL tents will fit better on full-size vehicles and our more compact tents work well on small ones.

Yes, the tent cover is made from a heavy duty waterproof fabric that will keep the tent protected in all weather.
No, the Meadowlark tents are not able to accept crossbars on the tent while it's closed. The softshell design does not allow for the necessary attachment points.
The included mounting kit is designed to work with most traditional crossbar systems such as those from Yakima, Thule, and most other aftermarket racks or platform/bed racks. Don't forget to check your vehicle owners manual to confirm the maximum dynamic load rating for your vehicle.
